Meg Ball AI should be fun.

I build AI functions from zero. I spent 20 years as a designer first, so everything I build starts with what helps a designer, a merchant or a studio team on a Tuesday.

Today I lead creative AI for a global multi-brand fashion company, taking pilots out of demo mode and into real production.

The receipts

because "trust me" isn't a strategy

What building a creative AI function from nothing looks like, in numbers.

0→1

Built the function from zero

No predecessor, no blueprint, no budget line. Just a real need and a lot of whiteboards.

20→150

Active users in under 8 months

Adoption grew because the tools helped people with work they already had to do.

50+

Systems & workflows launched

Across 7 divisions: Design, Product, Marketing, Sales, Studio and Operations.

1

Governance model the program runs on

Risk classification, licensor restrictions and asset traceability, so a cool demo can become production-ready.

20yrs

In design before AI had a job title

I know what a real creative workflow feels like, deadlines and all.

Two decades designing for fashion and retail taught me how creative teams actually work: the briefs, the deadlines and the last-minute changes.

Where design met pipelines, tools and the first wave of generative AI. Midjourney, image and video models, and plenty of moodboards pulled together at 2am.

How I work

AI should make creative work better and more fun, not more complicated.

I start from the people doing the work. The technology comes second, and it has to earn its place.

  • Strategy to productionI lead creative AI strategy and the messy middle nobody talks about, so pilots actually ship.
  • Workflows across the whole lifecycleConcept, product visualization, artwork and print, content, retailer presentations and asset reuse, all connected.
  • Responsible AI that holds upGovernance, risk classification, licensor restrictions and asset traceability. In licensed fashion, this is what separates a demo from production.
  • The ecosystemVendor evaluation, enterprise onboarding and partnerships across generative AI, creative tech, 3D, PLM and content platforms.
